Individual

One-on-one therapy provides a wellspring of opportunities to grow richer with self-awareness, reflect deeply on how we habitually relate with those around us, notice and process complex sensations and thoughts, assume responsibility for our emotions and perceptions, and make conscious decisions to adjust interactional patterns and ways of being with self and others that no longer serve us. I offer individual therapy to adults of all races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and religious backgrounds.

Relationships

In my work with couples and pairings, whether romantic, platonic, or professional, I emphasize the importance of learning how to stay connected during conflict, both with one’s partner(s) and with one’s sense of self. I use an eclectic approach that combines differentiation principles, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques, and Imago structured dialogues to help each partner deepen awareness of attachment patterns and assume responsibility for their own emotional well-being while expanding a sense of empathy for, understanding of, and closeness with one another.

Family

Some of the most challenging, energizing, and rewarding therapeutic work can be accomplished in familial contexts. Difficult family dynamics, especially those experienced in early life, often create—and thus contain—the primary blueprints for individual and relational struggles felt much later on. Because of this, having the chance to collaboratively and consciously examine, unveil, and deconstruct these dynamics in real-time can lead to dramatic insight and lasting change on many levels. I welcome families of all sizes and structures.
